Sigrid — Sucker Punch

"Sucker Punch" is about an unexpected relationship and the emotions that come with it. Her new love is taking over her life and she loves it, and it is the only thing she can think about. This is the first song Sigrid has released with an uplifting theme to the lyrics – her other songs have melancholic themes to the lyrics. The song is written as though directed to a person, however the emotional side of the song could’ve been written about Sigrid’s passion for music and performance, or her love for her home town Ålesund (Norway), which has inspired lots of her music.
