Desireless — Voyage Voyage

"Voyage Voyage" is a 1986 song written by Jean-Michel Rivat and recorded by the French singer Desireless. It was the first single from her album François and became a smash hit in many countries in Europe. In 2007, Belgian singer Kate Ryan also released a version of the song.

"Voyage Voyage", a song sung exclusively in French, managed the rare feat of featuring in several countries top hits which are usually closed to francophone songs and artists. In Germany, the song topped the chart and has the longest chart trajectory of 1987 in the Top 20. Curiously, the song failed to reach #1 in France, but stayed at #2 for four weeks, behind Elsa Lunghini with her first hit "T'en vas pas", and remained on the chart for 21 weeks, from 13 December 1986 to 9 May 1987. Also managed to be the biggest selling single in Spain in 1987 with more than 200,000 copies sold.
