On July 7, 2023, Ice Spice made an appearance on Capital XTRA Breakfast with Robert & Shayna Marie, where she teased "Deli" when she was asked what her favorite New York song was. Two days later, on July 9th, she offered a preview of "Deli" on TikTok and proceeded to film the music video on July 14th.
